4. The culture within local police agencies has been under fire. What will you do about the locker room culture within the agency?

Culture begins with leadership.

The Sheriff sets the tone for the entire organization.

My administration will establish a culture based on:

• Professionalism

• Respect

• Integrity

• Accountability

Clear standards of conduct will be reinforced, and violations will be addressed promptly and transparently through established disciplinary procedures.

At the same time, we must recognize that the overwhelming majority of deputies serve professionally and with dedication every day.

My goal is to build an agency where:

Deputies are proud to serve, and the public has confidence in the integrity of their Sheriff’s Office.
